A split hydraulic hose has been replaced; lines opened; service recovery in progress.

CrossCountry are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. Arrangements have been made for Great Western Railway rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
(Do CrossCountry have a way of travelling over failed pointwork then)

1Z78 1315 Exeter St Davids to Plymouth has escaped, 39 minutes down, followed by
2T20 1323 Exmouth to Paignton, on time.

Points failure at eastern end then, rather than western end possibly.
1C77, 1C78, 2C73 all queued waiting to arrive, with 1V50 enroute to join at the back.

Cancellations to services between Exeter St Davids and London Paddington via Taunton
Due to a points failure at Exeter St Davids all lines are blocked. Disruption is expected until 15:30 17/10.
Train services between Exeter St Davids and London Paddington via Taunton and Reading may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Customer Advice
South Western Railway are conveying passengers between Exeter St Davids and London Waterloo via Salisbury and Basingstoke in both directions until further notice. Arrangements have been made for Great Western Railway rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
